Our mission is to preserve historic homes and buildings - whether it’s a bungalow, mansion or a cottage. We have great respect for the original craftsmanship that went into these buildings. The hardware, the woodwork, the windows, screens and doors are of a quality that rarely found in today’s newer homes. We have worked on homes ranging from the 1830's up through the 1950s. This was an era in stark contrast with today’s “throw-away society”, and this craftsmanship is part of the appeal and affection people feel for older homes. They sense the quality. We do complete restorations, but also have specific areas of expertise that you will find documented in this website. We do high quality wood working (doors, screen doors, wood window screens, special projects, etc) and restore wood windows (also called “sash weighted windows, the ones with the ropes). We specialize in quality, yet keep our prices affordable – we want the work we do to be affordable to the thousands of neighbors around us residing in older homes.
